We all know that auto insurance fraud is a serious problem in Canada. It costs honest drivers between $100 and $150 in additional premiums each year and $2 billion to the industry as a whole. At Aviva, we’ve been fighting fraud on behalf of our customers for over 25 years. We need your help to raise awareness about

the issue.

Today, we’re proud to release our first online fraud report called Crash, Cash and Backlash – Auto Insurance Fraud in Canada. The report includes a national consumer survey on fraud, information about what consumers pay for auto insurance by province, and how fraud contributes to their premiums.

Canadians know that winter driving can be treacherous at the best of times. The following organizations can provide tips and information to help you prepare yourself and your vehicle for safe winter driving: Canada Safety Council and Transport Canada.
